Dear Friends..

Hello Sweet Friends,

It has been a bit since posting for me. I have been in the Spring Warmer Weather Busy Season and it has taken up most of my time and I am quite tired at night so blogging has been on the back burner.

We have had graduations, mothers day, and a family trip.  I hope to get back to blogging soon.

Today, I am organizing my homeschool stuff for the summer and so I am pushing myself to do this task that I have put off for quite a long time.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Cleansing the Body...

This week (actually since Tuesday) I have been cleansing my body out.  I was feeling that heavy, bloated, tired, lethargic, and blah feeling.  When it gets to that point I know my body needs a cleaning. A couple of years ago I lost 50 pounds.  I ate clean (lean meat, veggies, and fruit) and walk/ran.  I never felt better. has been a journey and I have gained a half of my weight back. SNIFFF!  I just stop moving, and eating right. It is just that simple.  During my weight loss I was diagnosed with kidney problems.  You would of thought that would have woke me up and helped me stay on track but many other personal problems and life changes happened and found myself neglecting my health.

I share all that to share with you that it is time to change. First, I have started with prayer and scripture study on food. I also have been juicing/smoothies most of my day with one meal.  This works for me and I know not everyone will agree and there a thousand different studies on it, but this is what always helps me kick start.  Then I begin my clean eating.

I could use prayer...I have been very tired since we moved here (6 months ago) and I feel so drained. I have prayed and the Lord has gently impressed upon my heart that my food choices and the amount I eat is a weight holding me down.

I want to be energetic and vibrant.  I want to live life not just exist in it.  When I feel like I do...I feel I am just existing.  I have been gluttonous and have turned to food when I am stressed, tired, or even happy.  The Lord led me to the Fruits of the Spirit passage.  Reading that made me check my spirit on temperance.

I may share more often on here my process. Are you struggling with overeating? I'll pray for you as well. You can email me at

Dear Friends,

It has been a super crazy weekend and first part of this week and I can't foresee it becoming a whole lot calmer. But I am alive and well!  Smiles. I had a Ladies Church Conference for 3 days and then regular life so it has been kind of busy.

Not much happening on the home front other than trying to keep up with the regular things. We have been pretty lax on school (frowns) but I am trying to stay consistent. It is so pretty and they love to take advantage of this weather because when it becomes summer it is not enjoyable it gets very hot here. I am just letting them have some lazy days kind of because I know we will do some school on those burnin' hot days. Smiles.

Tonight for supper is pork chops and gravy, rice, and green beans for the family and a fruit smoothie for me. I will go in more detail later on that!

Loving Ladders

I have this thing for old ladders. I love them. I see people do so many neat things in their homes (outside, too) using them to decorate. I found this old ladder last year for .25 cents and I loved it. It matched my old home (the one we built and just moved from) than this one. My other home was country cottage and simple. I loved it.

The home we are renting (we just moved here to Pastor a church) is more traditional but I have made it cottage like the best I can. It is also much smaller than our other home so even the smallest decoration counts when it comes to space. I originally put my ladder in the garage and stored it.  But yesterday as we cleaned and organized the garage I brought it in.

I seen a idea on pinterest and thought I would use it.

I put it in my bedroom which has a romantic country cottage beachy feel. Then I put some special pictures of my husband and I to make it more romantic.

I don't have the best camera so it doesn't do the images justice. It looks much better than it appears.

Just thought I'd share the idea I found off pinterest and show my tweaked version of it.
