Be Still My Heart!!!

Be still my heart. These moments will not last forever. Matter of fact today is the last of today. I want to make the most of this day. Are all day's perfect?!  NOOOO! But in each day rather it goes sour or it goes great there are things to be thankful for and embrace. We learn grace in a mess. We experience comfort in pain. We feel warm hugs when our soul is crying out. We feel that deepness in the pit of our stomach when TRUE laughter rolls out in joyous moments. Breezes on our face. Smells of life surrounds us. Be thankful IN EVERYTHING the Word says.

STOP! WHAT YOUR DOING RIGHT NOW! BREATH! BREATHE DEEP! SMELL LIFE AROUND YOU! SHOUT A PRAISE TO GOD!

Today is the day the Lord hath made......REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT!!!!

Just A Little Piece of a Pie

This past summer we were blessed to venture across the world to do a short missions trip to the Solomon Islands in the Pacific. It was the most rewarding, scariest, exciting, challenging, and amazing time of our lives. This opened our eyes to the World. I think sometimes we get so caught up in our little lives, little world, our own nations, and communities that we forget really that there is a HUGE WORLD. This world is in need and hungers for Jesus and love.

The most beautiful thing about the Island is the children. I loved them all. I wished I could have taken them all home. Yes, there is poverty but these children are loved. The parenting skills of the Islands is amazing. They are very protective of the children.

The Market is huge. I have so many shots of it but I had to post this because I was blown away at the size of the Sweet Potatoes. They are massive.  Sadly, they let them grow to long and they don't taste very well to me. They love them though.

Kids are everywhere and they don't let hardship stop them from being sweet, happy, and joyful. They are very content with life.

I had the honor of speaking to the Ladies of the church and encouraging them in their roles they have as Women. They have such a understanding of Titus 2. It blows my mind. I learned more from them than I am sure they did from me.

Derrick (the Hubs) had the honor of baptizing some ladies and a man. It was such a beautiful experience.

The church and the people showered us with love, hospitality, and respect. We made so many life long friends. It was very hard to say goodbye. I cried and cried. A piece of my heart is still there.

I will forever be grateful to those that sponsored, blessed, and helped make this lifetime experience available to us. Not a day goes by that I do not think of them and the truth that needs to be shared with this Nation.

Our eyes were open and we realized we really are JUST A small PIECE of the PIE!

Who would have known?!

Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have visited this place in cyber world. Our life has changed in so many ways. This summer we went to Solomon Islands on a missionary trip in the Pacific. We just loved every minute. Our heart is still there. I have so much alone I could share on that but I will have to play catch up later.

As many of you knew, my husband and I were havinga very overwhelmed life that was causing multiple areas in our lives strained from health, finances, family life, and we were almost cracking. But God stepped in and rescued us. We had been faithful and God showed us He was as well.

My husband resigned his Pastoring. We moved several states away. Joined a new church. My husband now works for a wonderful company. I am homeschooling my younger children. I am cooking again. My health is being slowly but amazingly restored.  Our children are doing so amazing. Our kids have made good like minded friends while reaching out to new ones. Ethan (our oldest) is thriving so good.  Our marriage is stronger than ever.

Yes.... there are rough moments but God has us in what I call a "Selah" moment. I am thankful for it. Gives you strength when a storm comes! Storms come! It just happens! Praise God he gives us seasons of rest!

Hopefully I can one day be a regular blogger but until then I just wanted to let you know what was going on!

Blessings!
