The Lifegiving Home Book~ Giveaway

I am so excited to announce a giveaway for a wonderful book that will help bring more life into your home. One of the things I crave here at Keeping Home is that our homes is more than just about cleaning, organizing, saving money, order, and such I want our homes to be  homes that gives life. That gives peace, grace, laughter, and joy.

I believe order and such do help in giving life in the home but nothing can compare to a tea party with your children, a good book by the fireplace, or even snuggles and board games.

I love Sally Clarkson's writings. Her and her daughter have authored a book called "The Lifegiving Home" and I am so excited to offer a book for some blessed reader.

How to enter the giveaway~ Leave a comment about one of your favorite things you do to add a little life lift to your home.

If you would like more information about this book please check out Sally Clarkson's information here on it and watch the short video on the book.

I will announce the winner February 26th. You have until then to enter on this post.

Blessings,
Chrissy

  1. I do several things I can think of off the top of my head- I fresh up the bathrooms as a dirty bathroom never makes one feel good, put some scented warming wax on to add a nice fragrance, and do away with for any clutter especially in the living room and on the dining table.

  2. Oh wow, I just discover Sally Clarkson this week and would love to read her books. I love to set fresh flowers out to brighten up each room. Right before the girls daddy gets home..we make sure the house is clean, bright and cheery. We love greeting him out on the porch to welcoming him home. He loves it.

    1. I love fresh flowers. When we went to the Solomon Islands we were always greeted with fresh flowers every day. We also try hard to make our home fresh and welcoming before dad gets home. Sally Clarkson has great reads.

  3. This book looks just wonderful. I enjoy decorating for all the holidays...my hubby still loves it after 42 years. It just changes up things. My FIL, who is no longer with us, told me to always greet my husband with a smile when he came home. I have tried to do that ...helps to make a happy home. Good advise Angelo.

  5. I have heard so much about this book and would love to have a copy of my own. :) Since the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and I raised 3 boys and now have 2 grandsons, along with my amazing hubby of course, I make banana bread. The aroma of it baking fills our home and my hubby will come find me with a smile on his face because he knows he is getting one of his favorite things. My grown sons request that I make them their own loaves for Christmas and my little grandsons do a happy dance whenever Grammie makes it for them. Seeing them happy is what makes me happy!

  8. Bringing life to my home always means flowers for me. If I have none in the garden I make an arrangement of pretty leaves and catkin twigs.
The scent of baking is something that permeates a happy home too!
Just discovered your blog and am now following.

  10. What a lovely gift! I try to find many ways to make a house a home, but one of my favorites is doing tea parties with my girls, dressing up sharing laughter, baking and more. Cherishing every moment I can. Have a great weekend!

  14. Oh Chrissy, what a delightful giveaway! I do not have this book and I would thrilled to have it in my collection. To spruce up my home there are many little touches that I like to do including fresh flowers, a lovely cozy scent wafting from the candle warmer, and often a loaf of homemade bread cooling on the counter makes everyone's eyes light up. So many things you do to make home a welcoming place! Thanks again for this generous offer! :)

  15. What a fun looking book. Thanks for hosting this giveaway. One of the ways we like to add life to our home is through music. We enjoy making music together and also each of us on our own. I also love being able to decorate - especially with fresh flowers.

  16. This book caught my eye on another blog recently, so this give-away sounds like a great idea! I find that a tidy room/house gives me a lift, and if that can be coupled with some nice, seasonal decorations and some cinnamon buns fresh from the oven, then we really have it made!!!

  17. I arrived here for thanking you for the beautiful words you left on ~ My little old world ~ as a comment, I appreciated so much !
After having seen your lovely blog I've decided to become a new follower of yours and to take part to this giveaway.

You have to know that I use to put flowers during the good season inside our home, picking them up from the meadows, the woods and the gardens of the estate where we do live in and when we decide to go on with the restoration of our home, adding also a little thing, we do everything together ( we've done from ourselves all the furnitures of our home, those of my parents' and of the part of the building which has become a Short Lets ) ... yes, hubby is truly an artist, he also plays the piano, composes music and I sing {{smiles}} !

Sending blessing on your day, with gratitude

  20. For me, having a tidy home frees up my mind to focus on the people in it. So, I try to daily start at one end of my house (single story) and tidy each room, one at a time. This is also when I fluff--changing the arrangement of something, adding a new note on the chalkboard, folding my kids pj's and putting them on their pillow. It is the simple touches that they notice.
