Still Clutter Busting! (Day7-8)

Hey friends! I wish I had a rich profound post but I noticed it is hard for "me" to think of other things really while busting this clutter. *Smiles* We are also doing some fun spring things here. The weather is gorgeous. We have enjoyed park days, walking, and playing outside.

I have gotten some things done that I mentioned earlier this week . I did get the fridge cleaned, bills and checkbook all in order, went through my files and paper work, cleaned cabinets out in my laundry/office area, and the drawers. Went through some homeschool things to donate. Set the budget for next pay period. I ordered new checks as I was soon to be out and new address labels with our new address. I have been procrastinating that for months...took no more than 5 minutes.

Today I plan to finish the cabinets in my office area, start on Hannah's Closets (AHAHA!!!), make my oldest an eye DR appointment, and sign us up for the local library. We moved here in August and we have not done that yet. We miss the library.

What are your plans for the day?

Love ya'll!

Chrissy

  3. I love your blog! This is my first time visiting. What a cozy, warm, God-honoring, family-loving spot you have here. It sounds like you are being super productive with your spring cleaning. I am trying to get through some articles clipped out of magazines years ago that I had stashed in a high-up office cupboard. It is kind of like uncovering a time capsule, to see decorating ideas I no longer am interested in, broccoli recipes I now realize my husband would NEVER eat, etc. :) Happy spring (almost)!

  4. I have been sorting through fabric, passing a lot of my unused stash to a friend who quilts and sews for her young daughters. I still need to sort through a lot of homeschool materials that we no longer use. I'm going to allow my adult kids to go through them and keep whatever they may want then I'll sell the rest or give it away.

  5. Well, I just got out of bed so am planning my day, Chrissy. It sounds like you are really enjoying spring while we are enjoying the coolness of autumn after a hot summer in some areas. I would love to have a big declutter but we have lived here for 38 years and my husband has become a hoarder. Sigh!

  6. This week normal cleaning, pulling out for a yard sale. Make a little cash to go through new decor and such. Got a foot detox done today. Church tonight, groceries tomorrow. We have loved this spring weather here as well. A lot of rain in our forecast this weekend.

    1. I know....rain!!! I was so enjoying my windows opened and the sunny love outside. It has already moved in this afternoon and suppose to linger for a few days. O'well we will have to make the most of it.

  7. Still sick but had someone come get our exercise bike this morning - I finally let it go because I don't use it and it was just a clothes hanger for way too long LOL! ;-)

I also finished my bedroom, except for underneath the bed and it looks it awesome in my bedroom now! I got rid of about 7 bags of stuff. I also got a new bedset as our was old and stained and finally bought some curtains for our bedroom - we haven't had any that I remember the whole time we have lived here, which has been 10 years this summer!

Once I'm feeling better, I hope to do the laundry/utility room, my daughter's room, my son's room, the spare closet and then the living/dining rooms, which is basically bookshelves.

I hope you all recover soon. Sounds like a great haven you are making in your bedroom.

  8. I am still working in the kitchen. That project has taken on a life of its own! I am now working on my cabinets. Wiping them out, purging and giving them a fresh coat of paint. I decided I might as well stick with it and get all of the projects done in the kitchen at one time.
