A Stove Fire, Lizard, and a Bathroom Leak

This has been a unique (rough) Monday morning. We had a long weekend and to be honest all of us are super tired. We also have another long weekend ahead. I will be honest I really wanted to stay in bed and curl up and do nothing today.  But not really possible and its best just to bite the bullet and move.

I will probably make it more a slower week due to the past busy weekend and an upcoming one as well. I feel a little stressed compared to last week. I didn't get a lot of my "goals" done because all week last week we had a leak in the bathroom and had to have a environmental team come in a scrub mildew in the bathroom and then walls had to be cut out.

So while last week looked (on the blog) as all things were perfect here at Keeping Home I chose not to share all our "issues" for a reason.

1. There is a enough bad and negative going on in our world

2. I follow the Lord about what to post on my blog and felt to keep it peaceful and document the good unless I feel led to share trials and storms and trust me I do have them.

3. I am trying to find the joy amongst chaos and trials.

Today I am sharing how in the first hour of my day I had a stove fire that terrified me. I was boiling eggs and the pan was to shallow and I put a little oil in my eggs to help them peel. I walked out for a minute and heard cracking and smelled smoke and discovered flames when I came back. I took care of it. Thankfully nothing was damaged. My pot was a little scarred but it is all good. After that scare I went to make my bed up and discovered a lizard. Lets just say I think the whole neighborhood heard me. I am deathly terrified of lizards. I can't stand them. I know they are useful and all that but I do NOT like them. After I dealt with 5 minutes of trying to catch it. YES!!!!! 5 or more minutes of running and screaming with a broom. My kids were rolling in laughter and then screaming as it was jumping and running at them.

We handled the little thing. I will not share how. *Smiles*

By this point I felt I was going to have a panic attack..HAHAHA! I am truly real. So, I decided to go back to bed. No....I am kidding.  I grabbed a cup of hot cocoa and sat down to blog here for some peace and reprieve. *Smiles*

But this is what awaits me...

I wore this super cute lacy vest with a floral dress for church last night. I just loved how it looked draped over my suitcases I have for d├ęcor.

Goals for this week are small because I simply need to pace myself for health reasons and a busy week and weekend to come.

Goals for the week are...
1. Pay bills
2. Organize papers, files, and records
3. Update Calendar for February and set Goals and Habit
4. Save or earn $20 put in Vacation Jar

I didn't get to do the living room last week as planned because of construction workers, plumbers, and environment people coming in and out for 3 days. So, I am holding off on the deep cleaning (shampooing carpet, baseboards, and etc.) until this bathroom gets accomplished. It may be a week or two. I am not sure. They just got all the mildew and mold taken care of, walls out and now I am waiting on the contractor and plumbers to fix the leak and cracks, and then put up walls and paint. It is a mess.

Oh well! I am thankful it is getting taken care of. I don't want harmful mold in my bathroom.

I hope you all had a good weekend and have a good week ahead.

I did want to share on here (for my memory) snippets I enjoyed over the weekend.

1. Serving at the church and laughing with friends
2. Watching my son play in a ball tournament and playing hard
3. Watching my daughter serve and be used at church
4. sitting on the floor teaching kids in Sunday School class
5. Watching my husband teach my oldest to grill and tie a bow tie
6. Saying yes and inviting kids over for lunch Sunday and watching them have fun

Challenge Friday~ Say Yes

I can't believe it is already FRIDAY AGAIN!!!

I had several things swirling through my head for Challenge Friday. Lots of great things. But this morning while I was getting ready for the day I was praying about what do (because don't we all need to give our blogs to the Lord) and I kept feeling this certain thing impressing on me.

I am so guilty of saying no.

No- lets not do cupcakes today.  MESS.

No- I can't play that game right now...I am blogging (Smiles) Let's be honest I am not the only one.

No- I can't take you to do that hobby you want to do because I am too tired at the end of the day. Although, the hobby is for a good cause.

No- I can't. I am too tired. I say to my husband at times.

No- Let's not get all that out. I really don't want to clean it.

No- I don't want company. I want to stay curled up in jammies and read.

Don't get me wrong I do say YES as well. But often times it is NO.

You see I went through a period years ago I would have never said NO to outsiders, church friends, and friends in general. And often my family reaped my tiredness from running, serving, and going. Upon conviction many years ago I slowed my life down and started saying NO to things a lot outside of the home and more yes inside the home.

But life happens, health issues arise, and financial burdens can hinder. Before you know it I was saying a whole of NO to everyone. Inside the home and Outside the home.

I mentioned the other day how I said a spontaneous yes to my son who has been begging me to play basketball. It was one of the highlights of the week. We walked to the park, talked, laughed, and played. I have memories tucked in my heart forever. He is only young once. He want ask me to play with him forever. Trust me I have a son who is almost 17 years old and he has stopped.

This week let's practice saying Yes to something. I am not talking about giving people or kids their way I am just saying within reason say yes and see if you don't create special memories.

Has God asked something of you?  Have you been saying no? Or ignoring it?  Let's say yes to Him this week as well.

Love you all!!

By the way I did accomplish last weeks Challenge. I got a pretty new Contact Book for $3.00 (US) and filled it all out. I am so happy.

Abundance~ Have You Noticed?

Hello sweet readers! I hope this day or night is full of abundance for you. If not stop a second and look around I promise you can find something that God has given you.

We are surrounded with an abundance of small gifts everyday.

Abundance- a Large quantity of something, plentifulness of good things (according to Webster)

We are surrounded by lots of small gifts and that makes us have a very Abundant Life, indeed.

Even in the midst of chaos, trials, and storms we can still find small blessings and we can cling to the hope of the fact we truly have an Abundant Life.

Here are some little snippets of our Abundant Blessings today......

Oatmeal Cookies that were so divine put smiles on my family face and made the home smell cozy.

A finished puzzle that I challenged myself to do. I haven't done a puzzle in years.  This made me smile at the patience God gifted me through the process and the reward at the end.

Apple VERY FIRST FROM SCRATCH PIE CRUST AND PIE FILLING!!!!! I can not tell you how pleased I was to accomplish this. It wasn't the prettiest but man it was wonderful and warm.

Which led to a TEA TIME with reading aloud to the kids. Little House in the Big Woods and our Bible passages in Exodus. Seeing them smile, smack, lick lips, and laugh was worth the mess from pie making.

A new contact book filled with precious friends and family. What a blessing to have loved ones and friendship in my life.

I said a spontaneous yes to my son when he asked if I would play basketball. I stopped what I was doing and went and played with him. We had so much fun and giggled at me trying to make hoops. The kids pulled out a very messy game but we had fun!

Loving my apron! Means I am blessed to be a homemaker of this home and my wonderful family.

Hand picked flowers and sticks made into a little bouquet by little girls. They were so proud.

Driving with my teenager today! This brings smiles and well fear. Hahaha!

No picture of that one because I was trying to guide him and pay attention. *Smiles*

I am blessed with Abundant Gifts all day. Guess what you are too!

Oatmeal Cookie recipe is here. I halved this recipe and put raisins in some and chocolate chip in the other half.

Apple Pie crust recipe is here. Apple pie filling here. I just used the directions for the filling not the crust because I made that from scratch.

Enjoying Nature Lessons from God

Yesterday was Art class for the kids so I headed to my favorite park for some study, prayer, and nature walking. Today was exceptionally beautiful. I took my camera and headed on a little walk and came to the stream that runs in the center of  the park.

It was so pretty at first but as I began to walk along the way I noticed that its flow was being blocked by massive piles of leaves and debris as well as some trash.  It sadden me because it was so pretty when I first came to the stream but the more I walked along the more trashed and blocked up the stream was.

I had prayed that I would learn something in nature that day before the walk and once I seen this I knew God was impressing upon my heart that often our lives or shall I say our heart and souls can become cluttered up, clogged, and blocked by debris of life, sin, and etc. Our lives our meant to flow freely in Him. It is very important that we do not let the cares of this world, sin, and just plain life to stop Him from freely flowing in our lives. Our lives should be bubbling over and freely flowing for others to see Jesus in us and for us to embrace all He has for us.

I want to be like a flowing and bubbling brook for Jesus for the world and for my family.

"The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook."
-Proverbs 18:4

I collected a rock from the little stream and I plan to write bubbling brook on it with a paint marker as a reminder of this sweet moment with the Lord and nature.

Have you just went out and ENJOYED HIM in NATURE lately?  I encourage you to take a quick moment today to do so. You never know what the Lord may use to teach you in His wonderful nature.

Who knew? It may not take as long as you think to get something done!

Hello friends! I hope you had a good Monday. We had a typical day here at Keeping Home. Just the way I like it.

I shared a few posts back that my habit for the month of January was to work on not procrastinating. is much easier to set that goal compared to doing it.  Hahaha!

I noticed my drawers in my bedroom needed some TLC but I kept ignoring it. I kept pushing it on to the next day to do list. Well, last Friday I just decided I would set a timer for 15 minutes and see if I could beat the timer. It was more like a race for me.

I set the timer for 15 minutes and do you all know it took me 14 minutes and 30 seconds to clean  those drawers out and organize them??? They look so much better.

So, how many projects do I procrastinate that I really could accomplish in a small amount of time? I kept thinking the drawers were going to be a long project and really it wasn't.  Now....I know that some projects do take more time but I think we would be amazed at how many little things we can do in a small amount of time that makes big dividends in our home.

I plan to set my timer again and do a cabinet or an area that needs some order.  I found it fun to try and beat the timer. Want to join me?  Do you have an area that is screaming to you to clean out or organize? It may not take as long as you think to get something done.

Monday Chat~Blueberry Cake & Weekend Recap

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Our weekend was pretty good. We had bad weather in our area and we had to even get into our closet during a tornado warning. The rotation was right above our town but it did not touch. The south of US was really hit hard by severe weather. A area about an hour from us had a very bad tornado that claimed lives and injured people. I pray for the those in this time. This has made me aware we need to be more prepared for Emergencies!

On a lighter note Friday our two oldest had a youth event. My daughter moved up into the youth group ministry...sniff!!!!!!! I am still feeling really upset about this. I know it is silly but I just really had a hard time with her getting older. *Smiles* I am thankful she is happy and healthy!!! Just wish I could keep her sweet innocence wrapped up for her. But the course of life doesn't allow it. Anyway, since both of them were at the event we took our youngest for some special time (rare) with just us and we went and had breakfast for dinner. His favorite! Waffles and bacon. We then came home and played a game.

I finished one of my books I have been reading. Check the tab in the top for updates on the books I have read this year so far. I have read 3 books since January 1st already.

Ethan (oldest) had some guy friends crash here after the youth event and the next morning they devoured a Blueberry Cake I made. I had some blueberries and looked up a really quick and easy recipe and it was really good. The link to the recipe is here.

Saturday was lovely before the rain came in. I took Hannah to a birthday party and I went browsing and used some gift cards while she was at her party. Then I came home and me and the hubby went on a nice long walk and sat on the deck and grilled chicken breast and sausage. I made fried potatoes and onions. We ended the night with Little House on the Prairie Movies and reading.

Sunday was rainy and we enjoyed church and I warmed up all the food we had left from grilling and made Snickerdoodle cookies. We took a quick walk before the rain came in.

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I got all my housework done that I plan to do today. I have an errand later in the day. I will be making roast, rice and gravy, and lima beans for dinner.

What about you? Your weekend?  Supper plans? Your plans for the day?

Goals for this week

Find a way to cut $25 a month. I am starting small.
Begin a plan for Emergency Preparedness
Start a Vacation Jar
Deep Clean Living Room (clean baseboards, shampoo carpet, shampoo couch)
Do a Tea Party with the kids
Finish the book The Broken Way

Do you have any goals for the week??

Have a super day,

Challenge Friday- Update your Contacts

Hello friends!! I am still sitting here in shock that I am already talking about Challenge Friday. It really seems my weeks are flying so fast. Even though I am practicing the art of slow living our days seem like vapor.

Last weeks challenge was to pamper yourself. I did do my feet and they are all nice and smooth. I also waxed my eyebrows. I will spare you pictures of these things. *Smiles*

This week I am challenging us to update our contact/address book. Some of you may have already done this but this is a major need for me. I noticed it when I was doing Christmas cards.

I keep putting it off. So.....for the next few days I will take a letter or two at a time and work on my new address book.

Hope you will join me. If you have already done this then update your birthday's, bill due dates, and any calendar work before January comes to a close.

Enjoying the Warm

We have had lovely weather in the middle of January. I am soaking it up. We all are. Last Friday I took the kids for a quick picnic at the park and we flew Ethan's Drone. That was fun!

I also curled up on a bench and enjoyed reading Ann Voskamp's The Broken Way. It is a good book. Full of quotes I love. It is a little hard to read but she has a  unique style of writing. I always enjoy it once I get locked in.

On Tuesday my younger children go to an Art Class. I have an hour or really a little less to kill a little time. I use this day to have a slow moment usually. I bring a book and a good drink (hot cocoa, sprite, or water) and sit at a park that is 3 minutes from their class. I sit in my car and roll the window down and enjoy the breeze and the scenery and read. This Tuesday was simply beautiful. So, I did just that. Just soaked in the word and a book.

We are now heading into a few days of rain. Lots of it. I actually enjoy rainy days. A few here and there are so cozy!!! I am planning on cooking Turkey and Rice tonight.

What is on your menu plan??

Chit Chat & Cleaning

Hello all! I hope you all are well and had a great weekend. I had a decent weekend. I have been dealing with some stomach issues and abdominal pains. It has kind of zapped me. I pushed through Saturday and cleaned our home. Our Weekly Cleaning! I would love to fit this in during the week but with homeschool and basic daily to do's such as cooking, straightening, decluttering, laundry, paying bills, grocery shopping, exercising, church, running teen to work and back and any other activities it seems Saturday tends to be the day I get stuck doing the deeper cleaning like the bathrooms, mopping, and dusting. I pick up daily and vacuum several a week and wipe bathrooms down daily but deeper stuff seems hard to fit in.

I originally plan for Friday's to be the day to clean but I am so tired by this day I tend to relax with the kids, do appointments, or do visits that need to be made. I also run errands and take boys to get hair cuts, and shop this day.

Do you have a specific day you clean?

Please pray for me about my stomach/abdominal issues. I truly appreciate it!!!

Challenge Friday~Pamper

Hello Friends. I hope you all enjoyed the art of writing a letter last week. I know I did. I am so excited to hear back from my friend. I plan to write a letter monthly for the year. I loved the whole art of it.

This week I am challenging us to Pamper. What I mean is do something for your body you have put off.  My toes and feet have been sadly neglected.  I need to pamper my worn down fingernails. They look grubby.

The devotion I have been enjoying!

                                           Hannah enjoying school outside Thursday.

I also challenge you to do it on a budget OR treat yourself if your budget allows.

Here is some ideas...

give yourself a manicure or a pedicure
deep condition your hair
wax your eyebrows
exfoliate your skin
soak in a detox bath
scrub those rough dry patches on your skin
do a face mask

Who is in with me?  Share what you plan to do over the next week in the comments.

I will be doing my feet and nails.

Enjoy Life-What gift are you receiving today?

"I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15

I read this in my devotion today and it ministered to me because of two things. One~ we will toil and there will be hard days. We do have to work and labor for good. Second~ we need to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Eating ( I am not talking gluttony and such), fellowshipping, and celebrating just "daily" life should give us enjoyment. It is a gift to us from God.

                                               Beauty from Solomon Islands (2015)

Here is a quote from the devotion, "I believe that this way of living, this focus on the present, the daily, the tangible, this intense concentration not on the news headlines but on the flowers growing in our garden, the children growing in our homes, this way of living has potential to open up the heavens, to yield a glittering handful of diamonds where a second ago there was coal."
 -Shauna Niequist

What gift will we receive today to enjoy?  Laughter, giggles, flowers, wind, skies, praise music, smells of food
simmering, or just breath.

Handwriting, SnickerDoodles, and Warm Days

Hello friends! I pray you all are having a wonderful week. We are in the middle of it now so we can turn it around if not!! It is all about perspective, right? *Smiles*

I had a CHALLENGE last Friday for you all and myself to handwrite an old fashion letter. I wrote one of my dear friends that lives very far away. We used to live by each other but I have moved two times in the past 5 years and each time I moved further away. We used to meet up monthly for our kids to play and we would fellowship.

I enjoyed decorating my paper, and coming up with things to say. I mainly just gabbed about things I am learning from home. She is like me in a lot of ways when it comes to homemaking. She really is the only friend I can actually talk to about anything...even toilet paper. *Smiles* We often laugh at each other. We used to talk daily on the phone, then our kids got older and homeschool is more demanding so we talk a few times a month (maybe)! She sent me a sweet text last week saying how much she missed me. So, when I was thinking of who I was going to write she popped in my mind.

The weather has been so much different from the past cold, icy, and wet weekend. It has been lovely and warm with breezes. So, I let up the windows in the home today to air out the house and grabbed hot cocoa and got to writing. I can say I need to work on my penmanship. I can tell it isn't as pretty as it used to be.

Have you wrote your letter?  If not I encourage you! It was so sweet to do it.

I am making Snickerdoodle cookies for my oldest today. They are his favorite. I am also making Mexican Bowls. This was a meal I made up from items out of my pantry a long time ago. We were short on cash and I got creative. My family loved it so we make it every now and then.

Around the home today we homeschooled and did our grab 3 items Wednesday to donate or trash. We did this last week and it worked so well I decided to make every Wednesday Clutter Buster Days during January. We basically just grab a bag and I put it by the front door and we add a few items to get rid of.

You should try it!

Monday Chat

Hello friends. I hope everyone stayed safe and warm this past weekend. Granted, I know some of my readers are not from US so I totally envy your warmth. *Smiles*

This weekend iced a little so we cozied up inside with games, Veggie Soup one night and Chili the next.  We also had way too many desserts. We enjoyed making and eating brownies and a cheesecake. Yum!

The kids didn't let the cold stop them from playing outside which meant I got lots of reading time and also some major chores accomplished.

I worked on the Master Bathroom this past week and weekend. I scrubbed it down! Like Spring Cleaning scrubbed down. Since I can't really fit spring cleaning in with our homeschool schedule I tend to do a good cleaning in January and then over the summer during our break.

I cleaned the baseboards, the Jacuzzi jets (this is a pain), and all cabinets and closet. I got a few little odds and ends to work on this week and it will be all fresh and clean. I want to put liner in the closet and cabinets, fix some peeling border, and touch up some paint.

I read Tidewater Inn by Colleen Cobble this weekend it was good. Little drug out but still a very good read.

What did you do this weekend?

Challenge Friday~Write a Letter

Hello everyone!!! I want to do something fun here at Keeping Home on Friday's. I may not make it every Friday but I will try to do at least 2 a month. I will challenge myself and anyone that would like to participate in different areas. We can share our results the following Friday or you can share it personally on your blog. Just give me a little link shout out to THIS post. *Smiles*

The Challenge for today or during this next week to come is to write an old fashion letter to someone. Writing letters has become a lost art in today's society. Texting, Facebook, and even blogging has taken place of an old fashion letter.

Write a letter or send a card with a special note to someone. I am so excited about this. I have some stationary I am excited to use. Share some good news of Jesus, a recipe, encourage them, or just chit chat.

Are you with me? Feel free to link your post of your experience in the comments if you'd like to share.

Stop Procrastination~Declutter 150

My habit for the month is to Stop Procrastination. Just Do It!!! I gave a challenge to the kids to collect 5 items they wanted to donate. I told them I was doing the same. Well, we ended up knocking out over 150 things and packed them in the car.

I find loading the items in the car as soon as I fill the bags is the best. If I stick them some place they will sit and then we dig back through.

We plan to do it again tomorrow!

Books Read Final List 2016

These are the books that I have read or completed reading since January 1st, 2016. I have a goal to read at least 12 books a year.

TRUST YOUR INTUITION by Jenni Wilson (E-Book)

AMISH MIRACLE by Beth Wiseman, Ruth Reid, and Mary Ellis (GREAT read)

This book is part of a Trilogy. I didn't read the First one. I started with the second. I will not read the last. I love Trilogy books but this one is not the one for me.

LESSONS AT BLACKBERRY INN Adventure with the Gentle Art of Learning by Karen Andreola (Sweet read)

MOTHER'S HOUR by Mrs. Sharon White

RED DOOR INN by Liz Johnson (fun read)

Completed the Book of Psalm (Bible Reading) 4/3/16

Slow Lane by Monica Wilkinson (I am about 75% finished with this)

The Broken Way by Ann Voskamp

The Life Giving Home by Sally Clarkson (I love this but it is set up different and so it is taking me a bit to read it)

The Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv

Early Morning Revival Challenge by Sharon White (WONDERFUL)

Now....I have to say there are several more books I have read and sadly I didn't record them. I am sad because I read part of a series from the library and cannot for the life of me remember the name of them or the author and they moved them so I can't finish them.

I also read way lots like over 25 read alouds to the kids. A couple of our Favorites were My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George, An Orange for Frankie by Patricia Polacco, and James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small Treasury Book.

What about you any favorite books you read?

My favorite was PRESENT by Keri Mae Lamar (EXCELLENT), The Homesteader's Sweetheart by Lacy Williams and Early Morning Revival Challenge by Sharon White.

The Little Things~ Counting My Blessings

I want to give a shout of praise to the Lord. Our dog Lexi woke up sick Saturday throwing up blood. We were so worried. She was lethargic and just really not well. We all gathered around her and prayed and the next day she was back 100% normal. Bouncing and barking. Eating and well. Praise the Lord.

Then later that day I went to the store to pick up some New Year's Eve goodies we budgeted for and while there I was going to pick up my youngest son a church outfit. He only had 2 outfits for church and one of them was worn out. I had money set aside for this. When I got up to the check out it rang up $4.50. It was a $20 outfit that came with pants, shirt, tie, and vest. I asked the lady if it rang up right? Haha! She said, "well I suppose". So, I went back and got 3 more. I was praying please let them ring up that same price. They did!!!! The thing is there was no sale price sticker! No sign. It had its original price on it for $20. I got 4 outfits for $18!!!!! Cheaper than I originally planned and more for my buck! Praise the Lord!

Today I had set my grocery budget and just prayed and trusted I would find deals. I went to a store I never do (Kroger's) because it tends to be high. But I felt a nudge to go. I am so glad God nudged me. I got great cuts of meat that was on sale BIG TIME. I got can goods super cheap that I was able to stock up on. Shredded Cheese in bulk half priced. I was so happy!!! Praise the Lord. I spent all but $2 of my budget. I was really trying to spend less than that. But I was really blessed and got to stock up. I was on my way home and got a call that someone mailed me a check that covered a chunk of the grocery money I just spent. Praise the Lord!!

It may seem like little things to some but friends my faith has been rocky since my health issues and I have been praying for my faith to come alive again and of course I have repented of this lack of faith. Ever since then I am seeing little seeds of faith planting in my life. Praise the Lord.

When You Just Don't Know~Pray!

Lists, Goals, Words, and Resolutions.....this is what we say, read, and think about this time of year. I love this time of year. It is a season that brings a fresh hope and thoughts of change in the horizon.

For some reason this year I really had a hard time setting up goals like normal. But I did it. I spent hours and days mulling over goals and envisioning that THIS year would be the YEAR. Like I do EVERY year. I quickly became frustrated and overwhelmed. I notice a lot where the same old goals I plan every year. So, the list has been put away! The goals on hold.

Hold on!! I promise I am not trying to be negative. I am just wanting to encourage the weary mama that it is okay if you just don't know what to plan! It is even okay to not jump on the bandwagon and let it go and just keep on going as you are and let God lead you! Just keep going. I am with you. I promise.

After I sat and spent a lot of time thinking of all my goals and etc. for this year I quickly realized how overwhelmed I felt. I was praying about my lists. I was honestly trying to give it to the Lord. Yet, I felt so weary looking at it. I felt overwhelmed. So, I simplified the list and I still felt like it wasn't what I needed to do. So, after reading a post from Abbi I was encouraged because I had already been thinking on the idea of just focusing on a habit a month. She has a much detailed list of goals but she shares a wonderful idea of setting a habit a month for her marriage this year. My idea of it is a little different but it is what I believe God used to help me in what I need to do. I am thankful for bloggers.

I will be working on my habits of the month and I have a few in mind. As I do this I will be focusing on the word PRAY for this year. It is what kept coming to my heart over and over in the last month. One thing I know for sure is that PRAYER is key to my days ahead! My life in general. I pray daily and often. But I desire to go deeper. I truly feel it is time for me to stretch myself in this area.

I don't know if my lists and goals are going to really be accomplished but I do know that my word for the year is PRAY!

I believe by doing this I will be guided in the right direction from the smallest of things to the biggest. To declutter ideas to finances. If I PRAY God will hear and He will help me. I need a GOD LIST! Not a Chrissy list. I need GOD IDEAS! Not mine.

I am in no way discouraging goals. "A man without a vision will perish" (Proverbs) but I am saying put God first and let Him guide us. Sometimes He wants us to just BE! Listen! Slow! This way we can do what HE wants us to really do. We need to have goals, dreams and visions. We must be Proactive. So, if you don't have any clue what to plan for this year, if you are weary, or if you just really don't want to plan.... do this one thing PRAY! Pray with me! You will see in weeks to come I will share goals and plans I have. But I will do it after I have spent time with the Lord.
