Berry Apple Pie=Smiles

I made a pie Sunday after our lunch. We couldn't all agree on what kind. So, on one side it was apple and the other was blueberry. It was delish and great with ice cream!! It was nothing fancy because I had very little time. I just through it together. But it was great none the less.

Update on Freezer Stocking
I told you all I was planning on doing breakfast foods and I plan to do a big batch of pancakes for this week and then I may add muffins.

I had to cut on our grocery budget to purchase books for homeschool.  The great plans of freezer meals have been put on the back burner for a bit. I am going to do small plans *smiles* instead.

Tomorrow I plan to cook up the pancakes!

Bless you all!

Happenings at Keeping Home~Freezer Meal Planning Underway

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well. We are enjoying our last few weeks of summer break. We "plan" to start our new homeschool year on August 7th.

I am excited to share I plan to kick off some freezer meal planning and prepping here in the next few weeks.

Do you want to join?  Next week we will do breakfast. I will choose some items I plan to make and share them on Monday and then share with you my progress throughout the week. If you would like to join me feel free to share your makings on your blog.

I know that I have these things on my mind to make....

Egg Burritos or Egg McMuffins

Do you like to do freezer meals?  I haven't done them in a while but I always like to do a big batch of things before I start school just to help with meal prep and etc. I also do another round before summer. This summer I didn't I am feeling the regret. I am making sure I am for school.

The following week will be Dinner Recipes followed by snacks and quick lunch prep ideas.

High Hopes

I may have high hopes. But I pulled out all of my books that I have been wanting to read or reread. I have had these books for a long time.  I would like to tackle them in a few months.

Currently I am reading these books...

Seasons of a Mother's Heart by Sally Clarkson
The Power of a Transformed Wife by Lori Alexander (Blogger of Always Learning)
The 12 Brides of Summer Collection by several authors (collaboration of works)
The Life Giving Home By Sally Clarkson ( I am reading the future month to be prepared for the upcoming month) This book is set up different.

I am loving them all. Wishing I could just digest them all and read more and more.

I also have been very productive in the home. I have gotten the kitchen completely deep cleaned and organized and the dining area!!! Woohoooo!!!!

I have only 5 areas left of the 10 areas. Half way down!!!! I am in the homestretch. YAY! I have also got all our school lessons planned for the year! Woohoooooooo!!!!!!! I just need to make a read aloud books list, order a few more supplements, and get experiment/craft projects supplies.

I am just now getting in a summer rhythm and we plan to start school August 7th. Sigh!!!!

What is in your reading pile? Any good books you have read this summer??

Have a good weekend!!!

Fourth of July

Hello everyone! I hope you have had a great past few days. I had fun sharing my 10 Days of Summer. I wanted do it daily but life happens. We had a nice day on the Fourth. It didn't go as planned but it was still very nice.

My daughter ended up sick with very high fever and chills the night before. We had to cancel our company plans due to her sickness. She is feeling a little better now.

We still cooked out, relaxed, read, and napped. We took a nice walk in the evening. It was a nice day minus Hannah not feeling very well.

Today I am trying to get back on track to deep cleaning rooms so I can be all ready for the new school year ahead. Today I am working on the Kitchen. I am not sure how much I will get done.

Any projects for you this week?
